This includes dealing with requests at unusual hours, technical support and providing bespoke solutions. We are always happy to meet our customers’ needs.

This ethic of value added service is one of the reasons for our investment in a new Pasaban 1600 synchronous sheeter, which is the first machine to sheet SRA3 in the UK.

The Pasaban will run a wide range of papers from lightweight 40gsm through to 700 gsm board, and can sheet in a size range between 320mm x 320mm up to 1540 x 1600mm. This means that as well as having substantial stocks of standard sizes ‘off shelf’ we can also answer the needs of customers who require bespoke sizes.

The Pasaban 1600 joins an existing Valmet 1450 and will allow us to become even more flexible and offer a rapid 24 to 48 hour conversion facility.

We also offer a rewinding service through our Pasaban 2400 mill winder, as well as guillotining and ream wrapping.

The new sheeting technology is only part of an ongoing investment strategy
within Middleton Paper.

Currently converting around 70,000 tonnes of paper per year, our portfolio includes a diverse range of substrates, comprising B grade and Fully Mill Guaranteed products, ranging from newsprint to wood free triple coated grades.

In addition to graphic papers, we incorporate a Packaging Division and a Recycling Division, which provides a resource for the waste and trimmings generated by the converting operations.
